The Committee of Vice Chancellors of Nigerian Universities (CVCNU) has encouraged the Federal Government to build the salary of university teachers to N800,000 as against the N1.2 million haggled by the Nimi Briggs board.



This will address a half salary increment offer as against the 23% increment being proposed by the federal government.


The council likewise set up a maintainable harmony group of seniors to determine the waiting stalemate between the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
